Backing up GoAnywhere User Data

Post by Support_Jake »

User Data
All user data and configurations for GoAnywhere are stored in a folder called userdata, which is located
under the GoAnywhere installation directory.

The default paths to the userdata folder for each platform are listed below:
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Helpsystems\GoAnywhere\userdata
  • IBM i: /Helpsystems/goanywhere/userdata
  • Linux and UNIX: /usr/local/Helpsystems/GoAnywhere/userdata
In recent versions this path was updated so you might be using these folders:
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Fortra\GoAnywhere\userdata
  • IBM i: /Fortra/goanywhere/userdata
  • Linux and UNIX: /usr/local/Fortra/GoAnywhere/userdata

You should backup the GoAnywhere userdata folder (and its contents) in your regular backup
processes. It is recommended to backup this userdata folder at least daily.
