I asked if SQL Server 2016 was supported with MFT 5.4.2 to a Support Analyst with Linoma. After some research the Analyst responded yes and there are customers who are using SQL Server 2016 as the metadata database for MFT. I wanted to confirm this with the community and understand any potential implications of moving in this direction.
