How do we get the passphrase of the keyring if we want to decrypt the file?

The KeyRing does not have a passphrase. It is just a pointer to the Public and Private keys. The Private Key is what has the Passphrase and what you'll need to know to decrypt a document encrypted with the matching Public key.
