Proxy server in a clustered environment

We are using GoAnywhere Director and GoAnywhere Gateway in a clustered environment. We have 2 Director servers and 2 Gateway servers.
When setting up a project in Director to upload/download a file to/from an external site we need to specify a proxy to go through to get to the external site. This can be set to use a GoAnywhere gateway by specifying the machine IP and port to use.
My question is what does GoAnywhere do when the gateway it is using as the proxy goes down? We would like it to failover to the the second gateway but it looks like it may not do that.
We'd prefer not to have to code every project so it tries one gateway and if that fails then it tries the other, but we will if there is no other option.
Thanks
