I have a Spread sheet where 1st row is the field names. I want to create a temporary file where I can read remaining data into and then copy the data mapping it into an as400 file or read the spreadsheet and insert data into a iSeries file. I am very new to go anywhere and this is the first porject I need to complete.

GoAnywhere has example project templates that will help you create work flows.

When you create a project, click on the browse button (the button with 2 dots at the end of the prompt). Then, pick a project that closely resembles what the job is you need.

In this case, pick the "FTP Get Encrypted Excel to Database". You can remove the Decryption Task and/or the FTP|Get. This leaves you with the ReadExcel and the Connect to DB tasks which will help you do what you need. Just modify to point to your resources and/or file names and you should be good to go.

Please let us know if we can help any further...
