I have read in one of the release notes that GoAnywhere will run the Auto_Open macro when doing a Excel Write. I have constructed one but it does not work. Can you provide any information/instructions that need to be done for this to work? I have a large project and the macro appears to be in the only way that the data can be formatted correctly.

I am currently using Excel 2003 (xls) but have Excel 2007 (xlmx) if necessary

Although I know you had this question addressed as part of a support email request back on Feb. 3rd, I figured I'd put a little information out there in case others may have the same question and find this topic.

The release notes state:
Enhanced the Write Excel Task to preserve all settings such as Macros from specified Template file. This makes it possible to do certain things such as subtotals in the generated Excel file. In order for this to work, the template file should have "Auto Run" macro to perform the desired function.

So with that, this capability is limited to the writing of an excel file and is further restricted as it requires a template file be used in order for it to work. So yes, you can have an "Auto Run" macro performed, but only when using the Write Excel Task with a Template File that has one specified.
