Spreadsheet title is missing

I am working on a project which is designed to produce a spreadsheet with two tabs; the data in each tab is related but different (number of columns, etc.).
The first tab includes a title in row 1, column headings in row 2 and data in subsequent rows. The second tab includes its column headings in row 2 and data in subsequent rows but the title in row 1 -- although specified in the Write Excel Task -- is missing. There is no text or formatting, just a blank row.
Has anyone run into something like this?
