What format can the keys be in other than ASCII?

I had to update my PGP for Windows 7 from XP and am trying to get GoAnywhere set up for the one client who needs files to be encrypted.

I was sent two keys by my client. One a PGP file (etrans.pgp) and the other is called gefapmg.public.key.

Neither one of these appears to be able to be imported into this software. Am I missing a function? If not, what do I need to tell them?

Hello,

We are sorry to hear you are having problems using OpenPGP Studio. Based on the information provided, I assume the entrans.pgp file is the encrypted file provided to you to decrypt and the gefapmg.public.key is your pgp decryption key.

When you go to import the key, what error/message do you receive?

Thanks - Jon

I didn't get any error message - the software wanted an ASCII file and neither of the keys they sent were in that format - so the first time I tried to import, I was unable to "see" either key.

Actually I solved the problem by exporting the keys from the old computer (which were ASCII) - sending them to myself on the new computer - and importing them into the new software.

Thanks for replying to my question.
